the South Shruti Haasan is a renowned Indian film
actressmusic composer and singer in the Bollywood as well as in Indian film
industry. She was born in the city of Chennai on the 20th of January in the
year 1986 to the renowned Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Akshara, her younger
sister is a national Indian representative for Ballroom Latin dancing. She
received her education from the prestigious Abacus school situated in Chennai
and later on she went to Mumbai in order to learn psychology from St. Andrew’s
College.
Eventually she turned her focus towards the field of music
as well as film and she had even undergone a training at the Musician’s
Institute, situated in California, USA. During her film career, once she even
had to do plastic surgery on her nose.
Shruti’s very first song was in the Kamal Haasan produced
‘Thevar Magan’ under the famous composer Ilaiyaraaja. She was around six years
old when she accomplished this feat. During her school days, Shruti mad her
singing debut in her father’s film, ‘Chachi 420’. Here she sang a duet along
with her father. She had even sang the bilingual versions of ‘Rama Rama’ in
Hindi as well as in Tamil (for the film called ‘Hey Ram’). Shruti Haasan also
worked with the experienced singer K. J. Yesudas for the 2002 movie ‘En Mana
Vaanil’. She released her debut album in the year 2009 through which she proved
to be a composer, a singer as well as a song writer. Her very first Tamil music
composition was in the 2009 drama thriller ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, directed by
Chakri Toleti. Later on she even lent her voice in a song from the Soham Shah
directed ‘Luck’. Shruti Haasan had even joined hands with Dave Kushner for
Jennifer Chambers Lynch’s ‘Hisss’. Here, while Dave was in charge of composing
the tracks, Shruti had the responsibility of writing the lyrics. Shruti had
also sung a song in ‘Hisss’ and had appeared in one of the film’s promotional
videos.
